MIPIM, the largest international market for real estate professionals.

MIPIM brings together the most influential players of all property sectors (office, residential, retail, health, sport, logistic and industrial) and of course attract many investors, who come to take the pulse of the market.

The 27th edition of MIPIM was held in Cannes from March15 to 18. Here are some figures:

  • attendance up 10%,
  • Nearly 23,500 visitors,
  • Nearly 2,000 architects,
  • More than 4,800 investors,
  • 90 nationalities

Many cities and municipalities have joined forces in order to attract investors, as all exhibitors of the Ile-de-France in the Grand Paris Express. Emmanuel Macron’s enthusiasm for the project of Grand Paris was echoed by Anne Hidalgo and Valérie Pécresse.

Residential real estate, most promising assets in real estate?

A Europe that defends its position on an international scale property market

Real Capital Analytics (RCA) announced that the total volume of commercial real estate transactions in 2015 reached 1.3 trillion dollars (+ 5% in one year). While investment slowed in Asia, the United States has been a growth market, Europe is still in a consolidation phase.

For Real Capital Analytics, the most promising asset classes are:

In 2015, nearly 50% of real estate transactions have involved a foreign player, either for sale or for purchase. This is a strong trend as property investors looking to diversify their real estate assets in a global market.

A world’s men?

Women’s were notable. Several networks as REWIRE (Recognising and Empowering Women in Real Estate), the Italian association AREL (Associazione Real Estate Ladies) and the Polish associations, Spanish and World Women in Real Estate, brought together 100 influential women evolving in the world real estate.
